I am not anti-GPI like some on the board...but 28 different computer rankings had NDSU 1 and Ill St 2. It's not like the GPI predicted something that no one else did.

The Massey composite has had them 1 / 2 almost all season.

The Massey composite has had them 1 / 2 almost all season.I look at the Massey composite, "the dirty laundry list of rankings" as he says. I notice that the GPI is always the #1 ranking, obviously using a select list of ratings. ILS was not #2 for almost the whole season.

Thank you. The GPI was used to decide the AQ for the strongest conference in the FCS. It just so happened to be between the two teams that are facing each other in the NCAA Division I football championship game.
