KX4 has the BISON show scheduled for 10:30 AM Sunday. I even saw a advertisement about it. Well I guess I will find out Sunday morning.
It'll be a rerun just like last weeks.

That blue lot thing makes NO sense. They know we'll bring tons of vehicles and rigs down there. Not only does that look good from the freeway but it just makes more sense to give more space to the people who will bring more tailgating stuff.
I can agree with this too.

I don't know about CCU, but we average a 315 to 320 lbs and about 6' 4", so bigger than average. As for pass protection, more than a few of those sacks were on our QB during the middle third of season. We had an easy non-conference schedule this year after Ball St bought us out and EIU slipped from last year. So we didn't get tested until our MVFC opener against SDSU. But once MVFC season started, we initially struggled (after SDSU game) with our offense on and off for 3 games (InSU, 1st half of WIU, and then first UNI game). QB was trying to figure out our system, and team was trying to figure out our QB, and our new OC was trying to figure out how to bring it together. The first UNI game was a key tipping point for our offense. They switched things up and disrupted everything we were doing. Since then, he and OL have been in sync; making better reads, better pocket decisions t extend plays, working his progressions. So the OL trusts him to use the pocket much better than he did in middle third. Running game has always been there this year, except UNH. If we're going to win this game, it will be because our OL keeps your front 7 in check.
As for our OL's size and sacks:
Of the 21 sacks we gave up in 14 games, 11 sacks happened in the 3 games mentioned above (InSU, WIU, UNI) when our offense and QB were completely out of sync. In the remaining 11 games, we gave up only 10 sacks. This includes just 2 sacks given up in our 3 playoff games: 1 against UNI, 1 against EWU, and none against UNH.
But we'll certainly have to keep tabs on DE Emanuel. Got a couple TE's who will be probably helping our LT out as needed. Our TFL's and sacks are spread much more evenly across our whole DL.

Much truth to that statement. If we can pressure your QB I think we will be fine. If not I think we are looking at another shoot out.

What I want to know is how worried they are of OUR dual thread quarterback, elusive running back and all-world defensive backfield?
Seems like all anyone talks about is how good ISU is and how over NDSU is.

Great article on Carson Wentz: http://www.inforum.com/sports/bison/3647336-kolpack-wentz-has-found-his-own-success-after-taking-over-starting-job-former
It's been an underrated part of NDSU's season to have a QB step up to take the place of a school legend and not only survive but thrive. While Carson himself may be underrated, the composure and skill he's shown in the near impossible position to make the fans forget about the last guy at the position really shows how talented and worthy he is.

Considering NDSU is 3 time national champ, and is your team .. maybe Bison fans should make their own case for their own team ??

I can search for my previous posts the last 3 years and just recopy them here except for one very important difference. Carson Wentz is absolutely the real deal. He's huge, smart and a very, very good passer.
In fact, I would say that we have some of the greatest advantages we've had in the entire run.

Even accepting your absurd scenario, I doubt it. We were down 14-0 at Iowa State, down 21-7 at Kansas State. Both on the road.
One of these teams has a full season of games more experience than the most senior of the other. I don't think you understand what that means.

I happen to think Wentz is the better QB at same stages as Jensen. I know he is big and athletic, and can throw. I would guess Jensen benefitted more from the NDSU system and strength of entire team, not to mention 2 strong RBs for all 3 years he started. On the other hand, I think Wentz has more to offer, and is probably not as dependent on the system and team around him as Jensen was. Not picking a fight about Jensen, but I think Wentz would be good anywhere he went, while Jensen thrived because he fit into a really good system.
That said, I don't think his mobility will hurt us as much as his size, assuming he doesn't go down easily. But we've got a speed everywhere on our DL .. average size, but definitely athletic for their size. Perkins can obviously move, but guys like Corwin, Prate, and Keoshian will surprise you with their mobility. We usually do ok against dual threat QBs, though get that yours throws first, runs second.

Looking for things to agree on and found another .. agreed. I wouldn't doubt we do get off to a good start, thaat has been NDSU's way some games. We've shown an ability to com out fast against good teams, and then hold on. Even UNH we can out strong, but could;t put it in the end zone the first half. Finally got things going again in 4th qtr to wn that game. But NDSU usually finishes stronger than they start some games. Though I don't think this years team can turn it on like prior years teams.
As for World .. I think I know who he is on our fan board. You may think I hype, though I don't think I do .. but this guy's picture is in fact next to the word hype in the dictionary.
p.s. Keoshian is a great kid and teammate, and an amazing physically talent. But after hearing too much hype, I was on record on redbird fan board saying he would have trouble in an FCS/MVFC backfield and might be more helpful on our DL. 1 year later, he moved over to DT and has been playing very well for us there.

I will be here to congratulate Bison fans. No reason not to, we're Illinois State fans not Alabama or Florida State. Sorry, couldn't resist those jerks not shaking hands after their teams lost.
But then again, I guess it wouldn't surprise me if some people don't show up again. FCS football has a hard enough time getting the coverage it deserves. But when one of the last two teams standing has to deal with people who feel entitled to this board.....well......so much for embracing new supporters. Even if they're Decembrist.
I don't fault any NDSU fan, you're team is playing for its 4th Championship in a row. I would expect a certain amount of confidence to come off as arrogance, and well....some arrogance too. You've earned it.
Just curious if some of the OTHER fans with no dog in the race treated SHSU or Towson fans who jumped on board in a similar fashion? My gut says No, but I wouldn't expect it either from two teams who don't play each other. This game is deeply rooted in MVFC "hatred", or at minimum bragging rights. Me thinks this game brought out some extra feelings from supposed "neutral" observers. CRAP! Just grab a t-shirt Red or Yellow and just be honest if u don't like the other school, their fans, or are harboring a grudge. I get it. Just stop lying to yourself. Its like a guys seeing his ex girlfriend with another dude, and saying he doesn't care. But then he talks about her all night. But hey, he's over her! We get it! LOL.

In previous years, there was an assignment. Red goes to the home team, blue to the visiting team. This year they have chosen not to assign lots so we are being instructed to convene in the red lots by the school's Facebook page.
There will be dozens of tailgate rigs setting up in that lot on Friday. If you desire homogenization, go to the red lot. If you wish to have your own side, go to the blue lot.
That's as simple as I can get it.

Generally the "home" team gets the red lots since their team has the western sideline of the stadium and the "away" team gets the blue lots since their team is on the east sidelines. The red lots are preferable because they're closer to the NCAA Tailgate Town (gold lot) and the team walkthroughs (between the gold and platinum lots) along with their being a fair number of businesses along the frontage road of the North Dallas Tollway between the red lots and the tollway. The one year that NDSU wasn't the "home" team in 2012 both the red and blue lots had a lot of Bison fans scattered throughout them so I'm guessing that's how this will work as well as Bison fans will park in whatever side they can get room at.
Honestly, its fun to have some banter with opposing fans before the game in the tailgate lots and there will be plenty of room for everyone considering the forecast will be less than ideal so if ISU fans want to park in the red lots they can. Just be prepared that wherever you park you'll be around plenty of Bison tailgaters.

With a win on Saturday NDSU would tie the all-division record of 4 consectuive National Championships. The current record is held by division III Augustana (Illinois) from 1983 to 1986.
Here is the link.
http://www.ncaa.com/news/ncaa/article/2013-12-14/most-consecutive-national-titles
Also in 7 years of being elgible for the FCS playoffs NDSU could win their 4th national title which would tie them for second on the list of most FCS titles with Youngstown State. Youngstown State won the title in (1991, 1993, 1994 and 1997 with title game losses in 1992 and 1999) and only behind Georgia Southerns impressive 6 championships (1985, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1999, 2000 with title game losses in 1988 and 1998).

I think it will be fine. Just like their are no designated sections of seating, there are no designated areas for tailgating. Bison fans are a good group to tailgate with. Red bird fans should not worry about any hostile reaction from the Bison fans. This will be fun!

This from the BISON facebook page....
Championship Week: powered by Gate City Bank, Sanford Health and Scheels
Saturday Tailgating:
The NCAA has not designated specific tailgate lots for each team, so we've decided to make the Red Lots west of the stadium the official NDSU tailgate lots.
-These are lots we've tailgated in last year and in 2012
-Lots are closer to restaurants, shops, and other businesses next to Toyota Stadium
-The lots are directly across the street from World Cup Way, where the team will drive up on with the team buses for the team walk at 9:30am on Saturday
-Lot is across street from Tailgate Town and Dr. Pink Fields for the Saturday morning Pep Rally and interactive zone

This is the epitomy of the culture here. No matter how big someone can seem, they are never out of touch or reach to help those around them. I remember the first time meeting Grant Olson (not including when we were young kids and went to YMCA camp together) we were in high school. We wouldnt see each other again (went to rival high schools) and when we did, he just did his best to be a community guy and friend and not just a face. These seniors have led with integrity and class and I wish them the best after this game.

One thing I will NEVER forget is in 2013 at the game in Brookings after NDSU beat SDSU. My wife, myself and my two boys were at the game with some friends and we took our time coming down out of the bleachers when we saw the NDSU seniors come back onto the field to take pictures with the Dakota Marker and each other. A few fans were making their way over so we decided to as well. We asked Sam Ojuri and Derek Lang if we could get some pictures with them and they were more than happy to. We got pictures of myself, my 3.5 year old son and Sam Ojuri in one photo and then with Derek Lang and the Dakota Marker. We also got quite a few pictures of our boys touching the Dakota Marker. It was tough trying to explain to my son this fall that Sam Ojuri was no longer on the team.
As a fan and as a father that was a GREAT day that I will never forget.

Win or lose there will be tears I'm sure, It's becoming a tradition for this FCS fan to watch Bison games in December and Jan, It has indeed been most impressive and good luck to both teams. I'm hoping for a clean but hard hitting exciting championship game and an upset wouldn't be such a bad thing for FCS football IMHO

Ah, so that is where the NCAA got all that money to pay for the families of players of Ohio St and Oregon to go to the game. Great game by the two best teams in FCS. ISU looked ready to roll over at 20-7 and a 3 rd & 10. Great team battled back only to have a great team beat us in the end

ISUr has a better lines on both sides of the ball, better wide outs by far and you could probably say equal for the rest. They are going to knock off NDSU.
Guess the Bison pulled the upset. xlolx

So what is your point, he is a fan of the state of ND. You know he went to Minot St., so does that mean he can't show support for anyone else. He has never (that I have seen) showed support for one school in ND over another, he roots for them all to do well.

It is absolutely insane to see that! many teams haven't even come close to winning a single one, and here a team hass won four in a row! Really sets the bar for what other teams need to shoot for. No excuses.

Illinois State - great team you put on the field. Was a fun game to be at and quite entertaining. Having Roberson and Coprich back, you have damn good shot being back here next year. Very strong foundation. Firm up the d backs and you're ready.
Your fans were pretty good to be seated around, minus one old crabby guy but we all have the bad apples :)

Well no reason not to get ready for a re match next year........ I had to leave the game when it was 20-7, watched the remainder about 8 hours later not knowing the result, Away from the game I had a feeling the Redbirds, although reeling at the time I left, would not roll over. I was having visions that the game was coming down to a last second FG attempt for the Redbirds and feeling it would not end well..... they never got the chance, Roberson needed to loft one up downfield but just couldn't do it.
Bison will probably be back going for 5 this time next year, Wentz looks like he will be a NFL QB and how about the true freshman receiver for the Bison......
Great game and congrats to both teams!

Is urzendowski (sp) a freshman? I thought I heard the announcers say that, but I may be wrong. If he is, he is playing way above his years! incredible poise throught the playoffs in extremely clutch situations.

Yes. He is a true freshman. He was telling everyone how he watched last years championship game on the couch. Fast forward this year and he and Wentz won the game on the last drive. Unbelievable.

Duhhh. One is a way bigger deal than another.
There are a lot of great things going on in ND right now, outside of Bison football. Wake up and smell the the toast, this title is just gravy.

WOW, that was a great National Championship game and I really enjoyed watching it. Congrats to both teams, and to your effort and desire to win the game. The MVC is by far the class of the FCS, and you all prove it year after year. Congrats. I can only hope that Montana's new coach watched this game and understands the size and physicallity needed to compete at this level. The Big Sky Conferece is a fun little conference with no size and no real speed. Congrats to NDSU and their Fans. You all are a class act and can't wait to see you in Missoula next season. First beer is on me.

GREAT game yesterday, ISU did their fans proud. They have absolutely nothing to hang their heads about.
Congratulations to the Bison program and their fans. They are a true dynasty and are doing it the right way. The Bison senior class that played their final game yesterday is the most successful in the history of the division and therefore the best in the history of the division. To win more championships (4) than you have total losses (3) is truly mind boggling. They also have more FBS wins than losses. NDSU has now separated themselves from Georgia Southern 1985-90, Youngstown 1991-1994, EKU 1978-81, and Appalachian State 2005-09 as the best dynasty in division history.
