Eastern Washington: Adams Finishes as Walter Payton Award Runner-Up Again

A sensational career was validated once again in Philadelphia, Pa.For the second-straight season, Eastern Washington University junior quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. finished as the runner-up for the Walter Payton Award given to the top player in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision for the 28th time. Villanova’s John Robertson won the coveted award at Monday’s (Dec. 15) FCS Awards Banquet and Presentation.
