Let's do this.
SHSU @ NDSU
ISU @ UNH
I'm going with the homer pick, and if they both pan out my prediction bracket will have both finalists correct.
SHSU v. UNH

Chattanooga is better than ISU on defense and just as good on offense. The reason I am picking isu is that I believe there is now way they perform as poorly on special teams.

After watching Illinois state waffle stomp Eastern Washing and not punt once I don't see them losing at NH. NDSU vs Illinois State for your championship game.

I'll take NDSU over SHSU but I don't think it'll be easy unless NDSU can jump on them right away but I'm not sure the Bison defense can stop SHSU enough early on to do that (I feel almost blasphemous having to type that) so I'm expecting a close game that NDSU may win by 10-14 but that score won't indicate how tough of a win it will be. I think the Bison offense is just going to be too efficient for the Bearkats to keep up with in the end.
In the other semifinal I like Illinois St just because they've been more impressive than anyone thus far in the playoffs. I picked UNH to make it to Frisco in my bracket but I'm gonna waffle just because Illinois St looks like a freight train right now. However, I don't think you can discount the effect travel may have on the Redbirds. They only played 4 road games during the regular season and first playoff game with the longest trip being to Vermillion, SD (~500 miles). Now they're about to make their second 1000+ mile road trip in two weeks.

I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. Nobody giving SHSU a chance. I understand it, though. The early part of the season was bad, and they really only did just enough to win each playoff game. That being said, they did do just enough to win each playoff game.

Even though I didn't participate officially, in my unofficial playoff prediction I have the three of the final four teams right with SHSU being the surprise.
I had ISU ranked pretty high all year and had UNH in the top four long before Villanova lost. But I am kinda feeling that this is an All Missouri Valley finals.

UNH and SHSU should tag in SDSU, and UNI to keep this an incestuous semifinal. It sort of feels like other conferences aren't welcome :(

That said I think the UNH-ISUR game will be very close, wouldn't surprise me if either team won. UNH is a very well coached team, they do what they do very well. That kind of team is tough to beat at home.

NDSU- They don't lose at home, and SHSU's luck is going to run out.
ILSTU- They continue to play with a chip on their shoulders for having to play the biggest game of the year in a high school stadium.

Most of them weren't even first downs, but probably not.

Can not think of anything that could lead to long term bad blood between ISU and NDSU than facing each other in the final. But I do believe that is who will be there in the end.

Question is can they play that way two weeks in a row on the road, if they do they will win for sure. We shall see.
