I agree. Hard to believe you could get such a clear, wide angle picture in 1914.

I love old historical stadium photos...I keep thinking of doing a website someday...so I took the Yale Bowl original and took out the center line.

By the way, that photograph I linked above was taken at the first scrimmage the school held at the new stadium before an actual game was ever played there. Below is a photo from later in the same year during the first game played there (against Harvard on 11/21/1914). Note: these photos are way too wide for the rules on this site so I would not blame the admin for removing my posts.... I apologize for bending the rules, and I've included a separate link to the pics in case the images need to be removed....
