This is not FCS although it could be somewhere down the line, this is not it. This goes in Other sports and I will move it there for you.

Reports out of Nashville suggest those 2. Cincy is an obvious choice.

It's playoff time. All of y'all with schmeckle envy for the fbs have all off season to discuss your dreams of glory in the 'big time'.

Yeah, when it does we'll roll out that discussion on the FCS teams etc. This is primarily about FBS but it doesn't mean you can't speculate how it affects FCS down the road apiece. There are a couple threads working the FCS angle with conference changes already as well in case you hadn't seen those as well.xthumbsupx

If I'm the AAC, I'd go for Army first. Then I'd look potentially to Rice or UMass (UMass will be an Independent in 2016 as of now)

BYU, Houston, UCF, Memphis, Marshall would be my top 5, in that order.

The Big12 needs to sit down and take a few deep breaths.
A championship game would not have gotten TCU or Baylor in the playoffs. I know what the committee said, but that is just the usual BS we FCS fans have gotten for years after Selection Sunday.
This year Alabama and Oregon are clearly the top 2. FSU as undefeated defending national champion cannot be excluded. The committee was then left with Ohio State and its bazillions of fans versus two smaller private schools from Texas. Ohio State will always win that battle. A Big 12 championship game winner would still have lost out.

Kind of glad it worked out that way.
I have lived most of my life in the dead center of SEC country. I will say that southerns like watching their SEC team play. Only slightly less than that, they like watching someone elses' SEC team beat the stuffing out of Ohio State and Notre Dame.
Everyone except my mother, however. As an Auburn grad, she has often told me she would root for the Taliban over Alabama.

Power 5
4 team playoff
This is going to be an annual thing now, I'm surprisingly disappointed that we're actually talking about how much of a "travesty" it is that a P5 champion was left out.

Yeah, an eight team playoff can't be more than 5 years away.

And so begins the long, frustrating ECU-esque penis/UNC/Wake Forest envy angst-fest that is App State.
