I know you are NC St. fan AppGuy. What do you think of Amato? Does he survive?

If we lose to UNC, no way. If we win that, I think its 50/50. There is no doubt the man can recruit, but he doesn't coach much. He relied heavily on P Riv and that lasted him for a while. We haven't had a good QB since and that has hurt us. The rest of the skill positions, we can compete with the best of em. We have arguably the best running back tandem in the ACC, and still a pretty good defense. Honestly, I don't see us getting anyone with the name recognition needed, so there's really no point in firing Amato. Unless ofcourse that man is Bill Cowher, thats about the only name that would be a step up, anything else is gonna be a lateral movement, which is a step backwards IMO.

To be honest, that's the thought of a lot of State fans I think. The Bill Cowher talk is a little silly, but it's fun to hope. I really don't want to see State go through another embarrassing coaching search. That does not mean State doesn't have the right to go after big name coaches (like some media people like to imply). I just don't think they'll get one of them, and after the whole bball coaching search...I can't handle another event like that.

Chuck really is a tough read. State is the only team in the ACC not to lose by 30+ points in the last 5 years or so. They've only been beaten by more 20 points once in the same span. Both numbers are the lowest in the ACC. On the flipside though, State has lost a TON of close games. All of State's losses this year are by less than 8 points (1 eight point loss and the rest or 6 or less). Even with bad QB play, you think State would be able to win a few of those games.

Oh well. We'll see what happens.

But you know how State fans are though, or atleast the majority of them. Even in a year like this with practically a walk-on QB, they expect us to go 8-4
