Clearly Eastern Washington coach Beau Baldwin has earned respect. He has established the Eagles as a consistent contender within both the Big Sky conference and the FCS nationally. Not surprisingly his name has been appearing at the top of the lists to succeed as the new head coach at Colorado State and at Oregon State. The uncertainty of not knowing where he might land next season has been a worry for the coach and his family.
Today the Montana Grizzlies graciously helped coach Baldwin. By beating Eastern Washington today, Montana helped expedite the process for him. No longer will coach Baldwin have to endure the distraction of coaching the Eagles on their "Infernal" field. To demonstrate their thanks after the game, coach Baldwin and his wife both rushed the field (somewhat of a E. WA tradition) and hugged each and every Montana player. The coach was quoted as saying "Thank God this nightmare is finally over".
Coach on behalf of Griz Nation, "You're welcome". Now good luck in the future outside of the Big Sky Conference.

Actually Montana did help itself by losing. He looks better to CO State and O State. One offer and he is gone.

I think that's what they are hoping for. They are tired of losing to the Eagles. Downside for them is our AD, Chaves is still there, and will choose a capable replacement who will keep us strong. I will personally hate to see Beau go, and will wish him well. But it's not going to help the Griz. xsmiley_wix

Kinda like Boehs, but most likely to a better team.
