Junior quarterback John Robertson (Paramus, N.J.) was announced on Tuesday afternoon as one of three finalists for the Walter Payton Award, which is presented annually by the Sports Network to the top player in FCS football. As a finalist, Robertson is invited to the FCS Awards Banquet and Presentation on December 15 in Philadelphia. The other finalists for the Walter Payton Award are Eastern Washington junior quarterback Vernon Adams and Idaho State redshirt senior quarterback Justin Arias.
