17 and 1/2 tells you one thing....that NDSU is the far superior team and will prove that on the field tomorrow at 3 1/2 bells. Quite frankly SDSU doesn't have the playoff experience or coaching staff to keep this close, and I think that is partially why the line is what it is.

A little tidbit of NDSU history. I'm currently watching the original broadcast of the ND-USC game from 1988. During the game they were giving 1AA and DII playoff scores from the day 11/26/1988. One of them was Millersville 20 NDSU 7 Half from Fargo. Given the fact that Millersville is a small school in PA I had to look it up. Turns out NDSU came back to win 36-26 en-route to the national title and a perfect 14-0 record....

Reminds me of my Friday AM drive down I-29 to Sisseton SD (to say I was in SD) before the 2011 Lafayette game. An hour of the corn fields each way. Amazing. Last year, I went to the UNH game. It was the first time I'd been back to ND in the winter in about 6 years. I can't believe how soft I've gotten.

The tailgating is still pretty damn ingenious. Walls on the tents and propane heaters. 3 degrees and we were in there without coats.

You and I both...Have a standing invite from good Bison friends that I partied with in Frisco in Jan 2012! In my interview (only time I will EVER be in the sports section) with the reporter from the Fargo Forum interviewing Lafayette fans at the Sept 2011 game in Fargodome, I called it the Greatland - and he liked it and mentioned it in the article the next day. I luckily secured a late arriving copy just before my nonstopper American Eagle to ORD left at 7AM that Sunday morning.

He got body contact, and face guarded before he turned his head. Easy call for me and was for the official.
