In the final episode of Beyond The Stripes, the weekly web series chronicling the 2014 Central Arkansas football season, Coach Campbell speaks to the Little Rock Touchdown Club and the Bears travel to Sam Houston State for a big Southland Conference clash in the final regular season game with SHSU playing for a piece of the league title and the Bears gunning for a potential spot in the Division I Playoffs. In the Southland Conference Television Network Game of the Week, the Bears came up just short against the Bearkats in a game that went down to the final moments – losing 38-31 to bring an end to Coach Campbell's first season at UCA. The Bears finish with a 6-6 overall record and 5-3 mark in the Southland Conference, and bid farewell to 15 seniors. Following the season, junior defensive end Jonathan Woodard was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year and senior offensive lineman Cole Caruthers was named the league's Offensive Lineman of the Year. Senior wide receiver Dezmin Lewis also received invites to a pair of postseason all-star showcases in the Senior Bowl (joining former UCA QB and current Offensive Coordinator Nathan Brown as the only Bears to receive an invite to the prestigious event) and East-West Shrine Game.
