FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. - North Carolina Central University defensive end Ty Brown has been named the MELD-App BOXTOROW National Player of the Week. Brown, a redshirt senior from Charlotte, N.C., registered six tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks in the Eagles 21-14 victory over North Carolina A&T, which earned the Eagles a share of the MEAC title.
