#1 UNH 10-1
#3 Jax. State 10-1
#5 Ill. State 10-1
Sacred Heart 9-2
San Diego 9-2
Of those, ISUr, SHU, and USD were the only playoff teams to play less than 12 games AND not play any FBS schools.
I thought it interesting that while a large majority of playoff schools played 12 game schedules, three of the five highest seeds did not.

I believe this is the first 12 game season where we actually did play 12 games. I know our new HC wanted to make sure our offense had as many game reps as possible before conference play started.

Extra bye week probably helps.

Last year NDSU didn't play 12 games even though it was an option. Because of all the playoff games, they had enough experience. Since this year we had a lot of young players, the AD thought a 12 game schedule appropriate.

Amazing that somebody could play 17 games. That's more than most NFL teams not counting preseason.

I wonder who long it'll be before someone breaks the all-time wins record of 15. Shared by Marshall, NDSU, Colgate and maybe one more. Interestingly, 'Gate is the only team ever to play for a chance at 16, losing to UD in 2003 to finish 15-1.

With Concordia on the schedule, Samford needed a break.

The only way a team will play 17 games would be if they had 12 regular season games and then didn't earn a bye week this upcoming round.
