Tennessee State's Michael German was named National Offensive Player of the Week by the Sports Network after his seven touchdown (6 passing, 1 rushing) performance against Murray State on Saturday. In other news Jacksonville State climbed to No. 2 in the FCS Coaches Top 25, marking the second-straight season the OVC has had a team ranked No. 2 nationally. It is the highest ranking for the Gamecocks since the 2010 season when they were also No. 2.
