After 34 years. Great job with that program. He was Offensive Coordinator under Bill Russo for the Seahawks when Russo left for Lafayette College HC in late 1980.

I don't know him but heard he's a great, great guy. Who gets his gig? Wonder if there interested in bringing Massella back to the Island?

They're handing it to Jason Houghtaling, current O Coordinator and Assoc. HC.

Met Jack Siedlecki who was many years starting under Russo in the 1981 season the OC for Lafayette at a Russo era players gathering at the Midtown NYC Smith Bar Friday night. He then went onto Albany, then Head Coach at Yale and just retired last week as Wesleyan OC. I would sit right below him in the press box mere feet from the top of the stands my senior year and when the windows were open many times in warm weather would hear him call plays, holler at the players etc (and even when said windows were closed too!).

Didn't he reschedule a game next year for his daughter's wedding? Or was that this year?

It was this year, though the rescheduling was done before anything related to the schedule was publicly announced.

He did a very good job building that program. I would think his DC, if not staying with the new regime, would be a great candidate for Lehigh to after for a new DC.
