Let's drop regionalization and seed all 24 teams. Here's how all the polls would look with the selected teams, and who would be in/out if that poll were used instead. Morgan St and San Diego didn't receive votes in the Coaches poll so I put them where the other polls did. Everyone but AGS has Morgan St above San Diego. Also note that every poll would include Youngstown over SFA.

Since the top eight seeds have to get byes in a 24-team bracket wouldn't 9 play 24, 10 play 23 and on down the line?

Regardless, I'm with you on this. Per the AGS rankings, if No. 9 is Chattanooga and No. 24 is San Diego a trip to California to Tennessee should be forthcoming.
