Same as last year, the committee will release the top 4 seeds early on the Twitter feed. Looks like a 10:30 announcement

I think you're right about JSU and EWU as either the 3 or 4 seed. The top 2 seeds are going to be REALLY interesting.

I'm thinking there's a fair chance it's awarded to UNH due to the fact that they have no FCS losses.

NDSU will be 1 or 2 and deserving so because this is one of the best runs ever in FCS history.
UNH is the only competition for the 1 with EWU having a FCS loss and JSUs conference not being considered FCS elite.

Thanks. The home team is always shown on the bottom in a bracket and ESPN seems like they're throwing them wherever the hell they want. Sometimes on top, sometimes on the bottom, no rhyme or reason.

They still have 85 scholarships compared to 63.

That doesn't break the rules. Conference teams can play if they haven't played during the season. Also, they're a bus trip apart. Otherwise either team would be traveling by plane or having a plane come to them.

Hell, I think it is a good idea. I hate these oversized conferences where you have co-champs who have never played.
It is appropriate to match them up like this in the playoffs when possible. It's another story if they'd previously played.

Fully agree this should be an automatic part of the bracketing process. I know it won't happen because of the regionalization, but it would be nice if they avoided putting conference mates (who had already played) in the slot to meet seeded conference mates in round #2. It is always more fun to see a cross country opponent who you're unfamiliar with.

They haven't already played. The commissioner even said if they had, they would not have paired them.

And we are how many years past 9-11? The whole reason the committee went to regionalization originally was supposedly because of 9-11 during the 2001 playoffs.

Always have hated regionalization.
