It is often stated that a team must have 7 D-I wins to be eligble for an at-large playoff bid.
My question though is that a rule, a guideline, a prerequisite, a suggestion, or just something we throw out as gospel.
My reason for asking is some people still seem to think that team X(insert any from Cal-Poly, Maine, Richmond, Western Kentucky, or whoever) even though thanks to Grizband's chart all of these teams can not in no way get a 7th D-I win. Some might can get a 7th win but not 7 D-I wins.
