It’s great to win eight, but it’s also sweet to “three-peat.” With Walter Payton Award candidate Vernon Adams Jr. leading the way, the fifth-ranked Eastern Washington University football team secured at least a share of its third-straight Big Sky Conference title – and its eighth overall – with a 56-34 victory over Portland State Friday (Nov. 21) at Providence Park in rain-drenched Portland, Ore.
