Not really important but I've been curious about this. Does anyone know why the kickoff is so early? Each year they play it I've always wondered, because most big games are played at night due to whatever reason.

So ESPN can get to college basketball or some other bowl they really care about.

The game is played when it is to avoid going head to head with the NFL playoffs.

The last few years it has started around noon or 1.
