The top 5 for the Jerry Rice Award seems to be clear cut, at least the 5 names that is.

I had to make some tough decisions on the Buchanan list.

Payton Award is very much up for grabs. I think you can argue several players there.

R.J. Harris should be under legit consideration for the Payton, and I mean be #1 or #2, if he has a big game this week. A nice 10-12 catch, 200 yard, 2-3 TD game would really be what he needs to argue that he should win it.

Nate Tanguay has had a nice first year on NDSUs DL. This is a position NDSU tends to rotate quite a bit, but Nate has put up nice numbers. I was worried about depth at this spot going into this season, but they have answered the bell for the most part.

Jacob Hagen now leads the nation in interceptions after yesterday's performance. Think he is playing himself onto a few draft boards as well as the BB finalists list? (Though this list on here is unofficial)

If he runs 4.5s he will get drafted. If he runs 4.6s like he did in the spring then he will be a PFA. I have him as a PFA on my board right now but he is obviously rising with his recent performances.

How much of a shot does VA still have? Would he have to put up 400 yards and 6+ TDs against PSU to edge out Robertson?

It's far from a done deal, but I'd say VA needs at least 433 passing yards. Then he'd really be hanging his hat on 3000 yds. Would probably have to at least tie JR in passing TDs as well.

What's the general feel for VA's chances of being drafted or playing on Sundays? Does he have enough of "the right stuff" to be a successful small QB?

Edited to add: Assuming he plays for another year and continues the sort of success he's shown this year in the games he's played?

Great lists. I find myself constantly in awe of how Jacob Hagan is playing right now. Something clicked halfway through last season, and he seem a to hit a new level all the time. Very athletic and so smart . Best at reading plays I've seen in forever. Almost always in the right place.

Saw a comment last week about their being an issue with VA missing 4/12 game (ie playing in 67% of games not 75%). Can anyone confirm or deny that this is a rule?

Also should be praying that the UDel secondary can get an INT or 2

He would be a good back up for the seahawks. Russell is 5' 10" VA is 6' even

I believe that was to qualify for NCAA statistical category leaders. Don't know whether it effects his eligibility for post season awards

Alex Singleton should get some consideration. A very bright spot on a very suspect defense!

WR Troy Pelletier, Lehigh- 46 catches, 790 yards, 17.2ypc, 7 TD, 79 yds/gm, 11 carries, 65 yards, 1 TD in 10 games.

The next All American Lehigh WR. xnodx Only EWU does it better at that position...

Just needs a monster game. Missing time always hurts. Part of these awards are producing every week and getting on the field. Missing 3 games can put a player on the 2nd team All-Big Sky instead of the 1st team where they may be worthy.

He will get looks. Too early to say for sure because his senior year will be what ultimately determines his shot.

I think the WR at SDSU has stolen the show as the best freshman WR in the country though.

We'll see how it plays out over the next 3 years. Wieneke is on a better team this year and had the benefit of working with Sumner in fall camp and part of the season. Pelletier is on a team that's having a down year. Lehigh has also resorted to a more run orientated offense.....

Pelletier is legit. Big, physical and athletic. UNH would love to have this kid....

How about some love for the little guy Junior - Marshaun Coprich (Illinois State). 241 carries, 1523 yards, 19 TD's, 11 rec, 33 yards. Averaging 6.3 yards a carry. Gone over 100 yards in all 10 games this year, scored at least one or more TD's in 9 of the 10 games this year.

For comparison sake, this kid had 221 carries last year, and only rushed for 885 yards and 9 TD's. Kid should get some recognition for post season awards.

He will. He'll be first team All MVFC with ZZ at running back.

UNI fans will be up in arms, but they can blame their OC for failure to utilize DJ for half the season.

Have you watched Wieneke? Because your description of Pelletier sounds exactly like him. I haven't seen Pelletier play. If you have a few clips, I'd love to see them.

Kupp's actually only a Sophomore. I think VA has a chance, but missing 4 games really hurts. Had he played in all of EWU's 11 games thus far, this wouldn't be close, IMO.

As it stands right now, it's probably Robertson's to lose...although I do not think he's a better Qb.

Robertson has missed an equivalence of 2-3 games as well. Had Robertson played fully this season, think Robertson would still be ahead.
