Right now, I'm thinking more of wishing for Chicago to make it to the Road to Salem. Wesley (who lost to Charlotte today), Texas Lutheran and Centre are in the Maroons' way though. This uncertainty, along with the playoff spots for the FCS scholarship teams, is taking up my mind at the moment.
Back to my regular offering:
Columbia at Brown - the Lions' woes continue a la Savannah State...
Penn at Cornell - Cornell's defense is also bad.
Yale at Harvard - The Game is to decide the Ivy title for 2014. (along with the Dartmouth game below) Harvard has better defense of the two though.
Dartmouth at Princeton

Brown -- how small will the crowd in Providence be for this one?
Penn-- Quackers win rivalry game for Bags
Harvard -- but Yale always plays us tough at home
Dartmouth -- hex over Princeton continues

Brown -- Columbia should have won today, but Brown is just better
Penn-- I guess
Harvard -- my heart says Yale, of course, but my head, and Yale's defense (and Harvard's defense) says Harvard
Dartmouth -- disastrous year for Princeton after being the preseason favorite

I don't believe Harvard can beat Yale unless Hempel plays.
You don't struggle to put away Penn, and then expect to beat Yale.

Cleets: Seems like a case of wishful thinking on GG's part, no? Scott Hosch has found a way to win each week as Harvard's QB, and we have a talented group of RBs to help him out.

Not "each week." Hempel won against Princeton and Dartmouth.
Hosch beat the Columbias, Cornells, Georgetowns, and Penns on Harvard's schedule.
But hey-- prove me wrong. Play Hosch next week!!

They had an article on Bags' last home game yesterday - hell, even made the guy seem human. Are there no Penn people on here? One?

Read the stats. I obviously meant "each week he played." Hempel had a subpar game against Dartmouth, and we still beat them. It's a shame you have such a chip on your shoulder about Harvard. But , then, Dartmouth always has. xrolleyesx

Hempel at least moved the ball against us. Hosch did not.
And if your lineman hadn't poked Williams in the eye...

Doubt Yale would agree with that.

Five Dimes latest odds:
Harvard -12 over Yale (xeyebrowx) -- take Yale plus the points
Penn -9 over Cornell at Ithaca -- take Penn minus the points
Brown -27 over Columbia in Providence -- take Brown minus the points
Dartmouth -5 over Princeton at New Jersey -- take Dartmouth minus the points

Harvard by 12 sounds about right if Hempel is ready. Otherwise, I think Yale wins straight up.
I think Cornell will win.
Brown by 40.
Dartmouth by double digits. Very surprised the spread is that low.

Yale needs to get off to a good start. They can't fall behind like they have so many games this season. If they do, the game could get away from them. 12 points seems about right.
I will also go with Penn and Dartmouth giving the points, but give me Columbia plus 27.

Final Scores: (Season's over, sigh; I'll cross the conference boundary lines for the playoffs anyway; I will root for the Fordham Rams come playoffs)
Brown 41, Columbia 7
Penn 34, Cornell 26 - Bags' career ends in a saving grace
Harvard 31, Yale 24 - second-half rallies define this edition
Dartmouth 41, Princeton 10 - so much for Surace and the players defining their goals, their not attaining these was evident in the San Diego game, and never came back to fruition.

Unusual Ivy season, with league records descending from 7-0 to 6-1, 5-2, 4-3, etc., down to 0-7, and teams losing only to the teams above them in the standings. When was the last time that happened?

Has it ever happened before?
