Lehigh v. Villanova in Basketball Friday Night

The game will be played in Allentown, PA's new downtown arena that is already sold out. Although only 5 miles or so from Lehigh's campus, Villanova will be the 'home' team in the 9,000 seat arena. Wildcats ranked near the top ten in some preseason polls. Mountain Hawks will send out a very young, but talented team. Also a homecoming for Villanova guard Dilliard who is from Allentown.

In all honesty, 'Nova by 23. The Wildcats have the most pure talent in the Big East. This is a Sweet 16, perhaps FF caliber team...

What a game! Lehigh stood toe to toe with the Wildcats and led by 5 well into the second half. Turnovers eventually were the killer as 'Nova came back to take the lead with about 7 min to go. Lehigh still hung within 4 with three minutes to go, but huge three point play after one of those turnovers created a bridge too far. Final score, 77-66 'Nova. Austin Price scored 24 for Mountain Hawks and Kempton added 15, but only 2 in the second half. 'Nova with a big back court was able to pressure our smaller and young guards. If Lehigh gets this effort every night they will win a lot of ball games.
