NDSU was #4 in this poll at the end of the season in 2011, still was a top 2 seed. This poll doesn't really matter, the committee unlike the poll voters will dig into who teams have played and beaten.

CCU beat Montana 42-35 last year...I wouldn't call that a crushing.

Plus NDSU crushed CCU last year 48-14.

I think if NDSU finishes the season 11-1 they will be a top 2 seed. A very impressive win over a P5 FBS team and numerous ranked MVFC teams.

We beat Cal Poly 44-18 already this year. We are not 2/3 with ISU-B as we just housed them at home. They had a garbage TD with 10 seconds left or the score would have been 32-9.

We are too low now that we have our starting QB back. We beat Cal Poly without him, as well.

Pretty early this year so its a little discounted now. Poly had a couple really nice wins and ISUb does too. Kinda more pods than saying interchangeable really. Could pull Poly back but I think when looking at the BSC you could say Poly stands higher up than SDSU

That call wasn't blown. It was the right call. Now, if you want discuss whether he got in the play before, we could discuss that. You'd have a better argument there, but I still think you'd be wrong. Our announcer didn't think it was nearly as close as your announcers and thought both call were right. You'll hardly ever hear anyone accuse our play by play guy of being a homer. He is far from it. Your announcers also mentioned ZZ's lack of breakaway speed. Then he went 94 to the house and ran away from DBs.

And I'll take the 32-17 win on the road over a good ISU-B team any day.

My point was more to the JMU fan putting Cal Poly above us, then claiming it was early and is therefore discounted. 44-18. They were missing starters. So were we.

That head to head game should be the deciding factor between SDSU and Cal Poly. I'm sorry but how can you even argue that? SDSU has a much better resume and the H2H. Case closed. Cal Poly has beaten the Montana schools (one of which, everyone seems pretty convinced, should not be ranked) and that's it.

I think the more voters the better, but you should have the right voters. Give all of the beat writers of all FCS teams a vote but remove the SIDs and other school personnel who likely aren't independent. I'd say you could let each conference have one vote from their SID. I also think that you should make the votes available for review but let the submitter be anonymous. Post them online and allow the public to make comments. No need for a reporter to get a barrage of hate mail from the dissatisfied fan base or have to spend all week defending why they put NDSU 4 or Coastal 7 or whatever.
