NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale Athletics Department will test live video streaming from the Yale Bowl, Class of 1954 Field, for Saturday's football game against Princeton (12:30 p.m. EST) on yalebulldogs.com. Fans may access this video feed for free by clicking on the "Watch" link in the schedule section of the yalebulldogs.com home page (coming soon). Plans call for the audio from the WELI 960 AM broadcast featuring Ron Vaccaro '04 (play-by-play) and former Yale head coach Carm Cozza (color) to accompany the video.

while a good idea in theory...how many fans would watch that instead of making it to the game? (of course not the die-hard fans...but the average fan)

neat. This game really should have been scheduled to be on television in the first place, though. Did it get excluded from cn8 and YES & the like because at preseason it didn't look so enticing? Anyone who plans TV coverage based on Ivy pre-season rankings doesn't know the Ivy league...

do you know how many alums Yale has across the country - and around the world? why any school that has the capability to do this, wouldn't do it, is baffling to me.

Hit and miss. Plus for some reason the camera shows the scoreboard after every play. I wonder if the guy doesn't realize there is audio, also.

It is probably the game film feed for the coaches. They usually want the time and down on film after each play for film analysis.

I'm sure you're correct. I think they mentioned that when they talked about doing the feed.
