I watched the race this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. I really don't understand why a lot of NASCAR fans can't get in to these road races. It's not like I want to sit and watch them every other weekend, but the two we have each year are great.
That track in Sonoma is really cool. Great location, great environment, well-maintained course, great race.
Just one question: Why must Tony Stewart try to pick a fight even when he wins the race? In case you didn't hear, Tony commented that Ricky Rudd should go race Indy cars if he wants to block when racing. The last time I checked, the point of racing is to win. If you need to block to win, then that's what you need to do. I can't remember there being any rules against blocking in NASCAR. Knowing what they know now, I bet you that Johnson would have blocked Edwards at Atlanta and Labonte would have blocked Johnson at Charlotte. That's just racing, and my opinion is that Tony Stewart should shut his mouth. Even when he wins this guy sounds classless. If you ask me, what Rudd did to Stewart at Infineon was more legitimate than what Stewart did to Gordon at Dover. Stewart, stop the hypocrisy. You sound like an idiot.

I thought Stewart was doing a lot better recently with the media, and I enjoy his outspokenness and the fact that he doesn't kiss the media's a$$, but I was really shocked when he said that - I thought Rudd did a great job, and when Tony finally had a good run that Rudd couldn't block without wrecking them both he moved out of the way, just like he should. I think if Tony wasn't fighting the shifter at the same time he was trying to pass he wouldn't have made that comment, or maybe it had something to do with Fatback and how he left Gibbs, I don't know, but I'll bet when he has more time to think he will realize how stupid he was to say that (or next time Rudd has a crappy lap car and Tony needs him to get out of the way there won't be any slack cut, I'm sure).
