Saint Francis has beaten the top-two teams from the NEC preseason poll in back-to-back weeks. After stunning NEC preseason favorite Sacred Heart, who was nationally-ranked at the time, on the road, the Red Flash dealt Duquesne a defeat on Homecoming Weekend in Loretto. NEC Defensive Player of the Week DaQuan Minter gave Saint Francis its first lead of the day by returning an interception 28 yards for a touchdown with 7:22 left in the fourth quarter.
