Jeez, that poll is miserable. JMU receiving 100 less points than the team they just BEAT? Richmond BEHIND Villanova?

Sports network's slide into obscurity just accelerates every year.

Agreed Richmond should be ahead of Nova. SDSU & W&M should not be ranked - why is EKU so low?

This poll is just terrible. McNeese at 6? Fordham at 9? Montana at 11, ahead of Illinois State? Bethune ranked at all? W&M still ranked, and ahead of JMU? How can that many voters produce such a bad poll?

Complete Joke! Richmond behind Viallanova? Liberty? Bryant ahead of Liberty? W&M over JMU and still in? Unreal.

I'm not taking that much away from the Richmond-Villanova game other than it was two really good teams playing in ugly conditions. If the two teams played next week would anyone be comfortable picking one team over the other? I wouldn't. I will say my confidence in Coach Rocco has gone up. Before Saturday, what was his biggest win?

Come December I'll still push my chips towards 'Nova.....

UM, what am I missing? It's way better than the final poll and pretty spot on.

Cal Poly made about a 500 point jump. And MSU made about a 900 point drop.

Not sure what all that means though.

I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH RICHMOND AHEAD OF NOVA AND DON'T DO A POLL SO DON'T ASK HOW I RANKED THEM

Ok, disclaimer out of the way, why are people flipping out about two teams being back to back but maybe one should be above the other and the one in 2nd beat the first but they were at home and the conditions were strange and it was only a one point win

Nothing about that game proved UR is better than Nova. Nothing proved Nova is better, either. Again, I have no problem. Just don't see why people are so worked up when really if you watched that game you would conclude that the teams should be ranked roughly the same and it's just personal opinion which is better.

Well if you have two teams that are even and one of those teams beat the other...even though they are very equal then why would the team that won the game be the one of the two which gets the penalty rank of the two spots?

Now do I think it's a big deal? Absolutely not. It just doesn't work out in the logic area is all.

Or you could argue that if they played at Nova or even neutral, Nova would have won. I'm not making that argument, but it's a perfectly logical one.

Yes it is but since we only have what happened to deal with I think one should be expected to deal with that...until the other thing actually takes place.

And I have no problem with Richmond getting that benefit. You even said yourself you don't think it's a big deal, so I don't know why we're talking about this as my post was directly responding to people who thinks it's absolutely ridiculous for Nova to be ranked ahead of Richmond.

I don't think it's a big deal, you got that right. I'm directly responding to you because you wanted an explanation so I was trying to provide one. That's why we're talking about this.

If CP and Montana were switched I'd be on that bandwagon as well but I'm nitpicking a bit. I'd put the AGS/FCS Wedge ballot up against anyone else that votes in that poll. cit does a good job with it.

He's also sharp enough to not turn the ballot in over there until his ballot here is vetted so any problems can be eradicated by Team AGS Poll.:D

McNeese is way overrated, especially with how beat up we are right now.

Good Gosh....we're at number 6? What the **** are those people smoking? We barely, and I mean BARELY got by Northwestern. If they'd have any any offensive performance in the first half, they'd have won....and we moved up after that crappy performance? We're not a top 10 team right now....I'm not sure I'd have us in the top 20....
