Just for discussion, playoff field would be:

NDSU, Villanova, Coastal, Jax St, Montana St, Fordham, SELA, Chatty, Bryant, Jacksonville, NC A&T
At-Large - ILL St, UNH, Youngstown, Ind St, EWU, SDSU, UNI, Richmond, Missouri St, SIU, McNeese, Idaho St, EKU

Given that the MVFC teams will knock each other out over the next several weeks, that should open up 2-4 more spots and the next teams in line would be (average computer ranking in parentheses):

Liberty (22)
SFA (24)
Montana (30)
C. Arkansas (26)
William & Mary (30)

NW St (27)
Cal Poly (28)
Sam Houston (29)
W Carolina (30)

Others of note:

Bethune (36)
JMU (36)
N. Arizona (38)
Albany (42)
S Car St (45)
NC A&T (49)

SLC teams will knock each other out too.

plus if you look at it, UCA beat SFA who beat SLU who beat UCA.
plus 5 one loss teams in the SLC have to play each other.

Why do you have Villanova as the CAA champion? If they both win out how will the champion be chosen?

They'll be co-champions. But as of right now Villanova has the tie breaker (Sagrin ratings) and UNH most likely won't pass them, so Nova would get the AQ. Not that it would matter if they both only have losses to FBS teams...

Eight MVFC teams in this weeks GPI top 19 even after half the Valley season is now in the books. The playoff selection needs to get it right this season and pick the teams that unquestionably belong in the playoffs. There should be AT LEAST 5 MVFC teams selected for the playoffs.

No other conference is even remotely close.

Would love for any MVFC playoff team to get matched up with Fordham in the playoffs, so they can absolutely curb stomp the best the Patriot League has to offer.
