Tennessee Tech free safety Marty Jones was named National Defensive Player of the Week after his four interception performance against No. 12 Eastern Kentucky. He is the fourth OVC player to earn that honor this season (and third in as many weeks). Jacksonville State (No. 6/7) and Eastern Kentucky (No. 18/19) remained the only OVC schools ranked in the Top 25.
