Lennon's lack of testicular fortitude early in the fourth quarter was discouraging, and the replay-booth-is-down fiasco didn't help (NDSU would have still scored at least three points there) but the Bison are just better than SIU.
Maybe we can finish 8-4 and beat out a fifth OVC team for the final spot in the playoff field.

I don't understand Lennon's thinking on kicking the field goal there. That was the sequence that took the wind out of the sails for the Salukis. They needed touchdowns at that point, going for it was a no brainer at that point against a team yet to give up any 4th quarter points. Did he really think he could get two more scores at that point?
Good of luck to the Salukis the rest of the way. I don't post a lot because so many threads turn into chest pounding dumpster fires, but the sandbaggin, humility, or whatever you want to call it, was kind of refreshing to see that in a fan base. Really easy to like and respect fans like that.

Sorry.
But it was a closer game than the score indicated - much closer than any playoff game last year.
Not close enough in the end.

Why do you have to be a dick?
Review all of my almost-300 posts on this site. Many of them have sung the praises of NDSU.
I wasn't trolling anybody. There was nothing to indicate before today's game the result would be any different that what is eventually was. I was hopeful we could win in Fargo but we're simply not good enough.

There were trolls in those posts. You may have not been, but I'm not an idiot who can't see how you guys were trolling.
On the game:
I thought this game was much closer than the score showed. NDSU didn't control the clock nearly as much as I would have expected us to. Agnew is just as much of an RB as I was looking. Scary good when he's in the open, however I saw three of our dbacks catch him in the open field, so there is that.

Yes, the game was much closer than the score indicated. But as a Bison fan, it was a game that never felt it wasn't in hand.

If I had known this was going to be the result I should have gone completely out of character and bad-mouthed NDSU all week long.

Maybe not, but since I joined this board in November the majority of the NDSU fan base has gone to great lengths to inform the masses how great the Bison are. Quite frankly, there's little disputing that fact at the moment.
However, a few SIU guys choose not to engage you guys in a war of words and suddenly you're being trolled.
I hope fans of the rest of your MVFC opponents incite the **** out of you over the rest of the season. :)

Lol calm down. After last week most fans had this down as a loss. However, clearly that wasn't the case.

That statement was for you and others talking about trolling. The game is over, I wish SIU best of luck over the rest of the season.

Just back to the house.
Great game by the Bison today. Defense played great as I suspected they would and the offense put together a better game plan, although some of Polasek's play calling is still confusing at times.....but the Bison won, so I guess I don't need to complain.
The O-line played a lot better today. SIU stacked the box, esp when the Bison had the I-back formation, but the Bison still had a good day rushing. I noticed the offense ran more out of the three WR set to spread out the SIU defense....good call by the OC.
SIU has some talent for sure.....#4 is a very good pass catching TE. The QB was a gamer also.
Great 2nd half for the Bison.
