Upset pick of the week (kinda) in Maine. Richmond will struggle with Albany but win a squeaker on the road. Look for the home boys to take the rest.

James Madison 28, Towson 13 - Wheels are falling for my Tigers unfortunately and I don't think it gets better this week
Villanova 41, Rhode Island 17 - Biggest mismatch in the conference
Richmond 23, Albany 20 - I could see Albany winning this, but I will stick with Richmond in a tight game
Delaware 17, Elon 13 - Sacred Heart is a solid team, but Delaware continues to look shaky. They pull out a close one here
New Hampshire 20, William & Mary 13 - William & Mary will slow New Hampshire down, but the Wildcats will still pull out a close one
Stony Brook 13, Maine 10 - Stony Brook's offense was non-existent until they wore down Towson's defense last week. Maine's offense is inconsistent as well. This will come down to turnovers and I give Stony Brook the edge at home now that they finally broke through with a close win at home.

It could just on its own, they were up 41-0 on Penn in the second quarter. If I had expendable income, I think I'd avoid that game though due to not being able to predict the level of domination that will occur.

JMU 31 Towson 20 - The Dukes are definitely one of those "tweener" teams. Towson is simply bad....

Villanova 45 URI 6 - The Wildcats could win by 100 if they wanted to....

Richmond 27 Albany 24 - This is a tough game to pick. The loser will need to play real well down the stretch to remain in the playoff race...

Delaware 21 Elon 17 - UD's schedule has been a little tougher than some might think. Elon stinks....

UNH 34 W&M 28 - I'll take the UNH simply because they're nearly unbeatable at home. These are two really good teams....

Stony Brook 24 Maine 14 - SBU might be one of the best teams in the country with a sub .500 record.....

Should Albany lose this game the schedule gets easier down the stretch with the exception of Nova and UNH. I really don't think UA is concerned with playoffs this year (or I could be wrong) They are looking for a winning record because they have the players and schedule to earn a winning season. UA will be a much better team next year with the red shirts they have on the shelf as well as the FBS transfer that are waiting in the wings.

IMHO Albany is a sleeping giant in this conference. I believe they will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. Gattusso is an outstanding coach with the ability to recruit all over PA, MD and now NY at a high level. Look no further than this Gontarek kid who starts as a true Frosh as well as the new OL (6'7' 310lbs) commitment from Saratoga who had offers to VA Tech (probably to walk on), Buffalo, UMASS and New Hampshire and he verbally committed to UA. Coach can flat out recruit.

UNH has always had a strong pipeline of talent from that area...now with the facility upgrade and CAA schedule I'm sure a number of those kids may chose to stay closer to
home. "Sleeping Giant" may be a little extreme, but I do expect to see Albany in the playoff mix in the near future.

Towson @ James Madison: Is JMU really so good that 99% or whatever of this board is taking them?? Sure they're at home and the Tigers haven't shown much, but JMU is not exactly a juggernaut. I think this is a close game. Excluding the whipping @ WVU, the Tigers' other 3 losses have been by a combined 18 points. Further - Towson absolutely should have won the CCSU and Maine games. What would the board be saying if TU was 4-2 rather than 2-4? Homer pick, and why not, I've backed them all year with little to show for it, what's another if they lose again. As stated I think this is a close game. Towson 31, JMU 28.

Rhode Island @ Villanova: Poor Rhody.

Richmond @ Albany: Tough spot for the Spiders, but I think this is a quality team, capable of taking 2 in a row on the road against solid competition. In Richmond I think they win by 2 TDs, but considering the circumstances, this seems like yet another close CAA game. Spiders by a TD or less.

Elon @ Delaware: If the Chickens can lose at home to SHU, couldn't Elon take them down too?? Nah, prolly not.

William & Mary @ New Hampshire: CAA Game of the Week, without a doubt. Everyone's all over the recent history being totally one-sided in the Tribe's favor, but to me it boils down to one simple fact: W&M was supposed to be led by a superior defense, and they have grossly underperformed. My pre-season CAA champion pick can still get there, but unless the D shows up and finally plays as expected, UNH will be too much at home. UNH 28, W&M 23.

Maine @ Stony Brook: I loved SBU coming into the year... then they lost to Bryant at home 13-7. I swore them off for good after the UND debacle, but they're pulling me back in. The D is what I thought W&M would be, and they should do just enough on offense to beat young Maine team.
