Haven't seen anyone on here saying we're going to win a NC this year. We've been there before and this year, we don't have the D to do it, IMHO.

That said, I was incresibly impressed with how much ISU has improved in one year.

Our D is particularly bad this season. We lost some all-conference/all american type players of last year's mediocre D, so I knew we'd take a step back this year...didn't think it'd be this bad, though. To be honest, we have a ton of youth (see: Freshman) all over the field, and the only way they can go from here is up. I think they're going to form a good nucleus for a group that will be good in a couple years, but right now they look lost. We literally have 7 true Freshman playing on D right now due to injuries, etc.

And yes, you are right. Our O is under tremendous pressure to score every time they have the ball. Not sure that's why they're "good", but it can't be a good feeling.

On the flip side, our O puts tremendous pressure on the opposing O to keep up.

I was pleasantly surprised. Furman has struggled on offense mightily all year. Made a few lineup changes along the O Line and at QB, and things really started to click tonight.

Thought we had the game won with the WR pass in OT. Cannot seem to catch a break against Coastal, though.

Wish I could have been there. I only got our announcers version of the game and I heard on a critical down earlier that the same thing happened but the other way. I had never heard the radio guys that angry saying it was so blatantly obvious but not called. Gus is a beast and it took a 6 TD game from our QB to even beat you guys. Des Lewis, our NFL prospect WR had only been getting a couple of balls thrown his way each game was the go to guy this game and he was fantastic.
