Another so-so week for the Ivies in the books...

Brown at Rhode Island
Princeton at Columbia
Yale at Cornell - Cornell is worse than Army; Yale should rout them.
Penn at Dartmouth - both teams coming from being beaten down by ranked scholly teams.
Harvard at Georgetown

News stories say that Harvard's senior QB, Connor Hempel, was out with back spasms yesterday. Scott Hosch, third on the depth chart, led the win over Brown. Happy for Hosch, but we need Hempel back.

While it was a great win, you were correct about one thing GG. Army is certainly not as good as the top FCS teams.

Expect Yale to have a bit of a letdown and struggle against Cornell on the road.

Penn reportedly lost two defensive starters (including their stud MLB) to concussions against Nova.

Always hate to see guys hurt, but Dartmouth should be able to score some points on Saturday.

I agree with these picks, although I won't be surprised if Harvard trails in the Hoya game early.

I will be surprised, given that Georgetown has scored three points in the first quarter all season.

Absent scholarships, Georgetown regularly loses its recruiting battles on offense, especially with local talent. Where would the Hoyas be today had it signed Fordham QB Michael Nebrich out of Lake Braddock HS?

Absent scholarships, Georgetown regularly loses its recruiting battles on offense, especially with local talent.

Do you even consider the FBS-grade players in the area? Or do you even lose kids to D-III area schools that have better programs e.g. Johns Hopkins?

Harvard won handily without it best QB (Hempel) and best RB (Stanton). Subs Hosch and Casten, respectively, had great games. Both starters should be healthy for Cornell next week.

Penn won't go 0-10. But the trademark Penn nastiness just wasn't there today.

Can't tell you how many times players would collide, and the Penn guy would get up limping off to the sideline.

Usually, it's the Penn guys putting the hurt on the other team.
