The Lamar Cardinals return to the field Saturday, with more on the line, as LU (3-1, 0-0 SLC) opens Southland Conference play against 2014 FCS playoff participant Sam Houston State (1-3, 0-0). The Cardinals enter Saturday riding a two-game win streak beating their last two opponents by a combined 128-10 score. The Bearkats are at the opposite end of the spectrum having dropped two straight and reeling from a 47-21 setback to Colorado State-Pueblo last time out.
