The air feels like early fall and the calendar says September, but all other indicators are that autumn is in full effect as Montana State welcomes the Big Sky's top-rated team to Bobcat Stadium Saturday. Second-ranked Eastern Washington brings the nation's top-ranked offense in yards (593.3) and points (49.7) to Bozeman. Calling EWU one of the top offenses in all of college football regardless of division is not indefensible, and trigger man Vernon Adams Jr. (382.3 passing yards per game) leads the way. Eastern's most dazzling offensive statistic may be the team's 21 touchdowns through three games against just one field goal attempt. MSU counters with sophomore Dakota Prukop, who stands just behind Adams on the Big Sky total offense list with 301.0 total yards per game.*
