I wanted to post some pics of Sam Houston's new baseball digs that are being completed. Absolutely turned out to be a very nice facility. It has a matching softball field on the other side as well for the womens softball team. Maybe some of you schools up north and east can schedule some games with SHSU in the future.

A nice looking ballpark. What is the seating capacity and do you know the construction cost?

If you just count the seat backs, I think the capacity is about 1,250 at the baseball field and around 800 to 1000 for the softball complex. There is a grassy area down the right field foul line where they could put more fans and maybe expand to more seating in the future. The entire complex, softball & baseball, I think was around $6 million. The new women's softball field is right next to it.

What a concept a softball and baseball right next to each other. I like it. Western's is not that way.
