Nicely done.

It is hard to predict this one. Reading the Montana State board they say they have young players yet you say they are experienced.

Both teams were injury riddled last year so the young guys got experience so maybe that's what you meant.

But thanks for doing this!

Preciate that guys! Like I said in the video…I think both teams are 'equal' so to speak. We'll learn a lot about UCA's Offense in this game as we will about Montana St's passing attack

Montana State is experienced in certain areas - OL, LB especially, and 3/4 secondary personnel are seniors but outside of Deonte Flowers (CB) they don't have a ton of experience, but aren't new.

But in some areas we are inexperienced. Obviously QB with a RS Soph starting for the first time this year. Outside of senior Brian Floetketter in the WR corp, most guys haven't played much college football yet. A true freshman has seen a good amount of playing time out of necessity, but he brings a speed element no one else has. Behind SR RB Shawn Johnson (who himself hasn't actually been a feature back yet in his career), there are younger guys looking to make a name for themselves. Leading the pack is JC transfer Anthony Knight, a 6'1 230 combo back who likes to lower his shoulder.

Cats are still searching for an identity. We got blown out at A-State, even though the score was close through 2.5 quarters. We only scored because of a muffed punt that set us up inside the 10. We had trouble moving the ball against their athletic fast defense, we couldn't seal the edge, WRs couldn't get open and as a result ASU stacked the box all game. Then against BHSU it was a complete flip flop, although we gave up 220 yards to BHSU in the first half (just 9 in the second though). So it remains to be seen if the defense can be more consistent.

I think the Cats can win this one at home. Prukop has gotten his feet wet and looked the part of an elite zone-read QB last week, but that was against BHSU. He did have two big runs of 40 or so yards against ASU that were called back because of questionable holding calls on the WRs, where he made some A-State defenders look silly and he looked as fast as anyone out there.

Offense is coming along. I worry about WR blocking against a good FCS defense, which our entire offense is predicated on. Defense needs to take good angles, wrap up, and not overpursue.

It will be a good one! I'm thinking somewhere in the range of 31-24 Cats.

Well, in all honesty Montana State will get tons of yardage against the Bears IMO.

But will it lead to scores is the question. One that ALL Bear fans want to know. xlolx

Are you coming up to Bozeman for the game?
