Indiana State junior wide receiver Gary Owens has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Newcomer Of The Week by the league office today (Sept. 7). Owens played a key offensive role in the Sycamores' 49-14 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday inside Memorial Stadium.
