Our game with Southern Utah is at home in the friendly confines of Strawberry Stadium ... hopefully we don't get rained on for a second week in a row.

That will help, there is some strange mojo in that stadium in the high country (even thou McNeese has never really been challenged there)

We go there next year. That said, they really don't need any "strange mojo," they're pretty good from what I can tell on video. They hung tough with Nevada and have completely changed what they do on offense with Gary Crowton as OC. It'll be a good test for us for sure.

McMurry @ Houston Baptist
Incarnate Word @ Stephen F. Austin
Lamar @ Texas A&M
McNeese @ Nebraska
Nicholls State @ Arkansas

That's okay because I would think you are fricking crazy if you did.

Edit: You know, it is hard to do any sandbagging when you actually know you have no chance. I think we picked the wrong year to play Nebraska.

If the Kats really replaced that kind of talent then this conference will be a battle between 4 teams IMO with a good chance of an upset among any of them!

I was very impressive with Southern Utah very impressed. Extremely well coached. Had a couple costly turnovers but credit the Lions for creating them. Not sure how they will finish record wise. (schedule is tough in the Big Sky) I think they could slow down EWU. I expected them to be tough but there size and speed on defense were solid.

Enjoyed meeting you guys! Plus that team is filled with a bunch of FAT linemen! No wonder we couldn't establish a run game. Your roster LIES! Them big uglies are bigger than listed! Great game and we'll see you in Tennessee next year!

Very surprised by the win by McMurry. New coach, new system, morale issues with the decision to drop back to D3. First game. I thought all those things would work against McMurry. Guess not. Or Houston Baptist is just that bad.

I'm not surprised by McMurry's win. We played them twice last year & HBU once...and yes, HBU was not good. (We beat them pretty handily, if that gives you a clue.)

I am surprised they decided to drop back to D3. WTH?
