Already flooded with litigation, the NCAA faces another antitrust lawsuit that in part tries to use the Ed O'Bannon ruling to challenge the number and duration of scholarships for Division I football players.

Former Colorado State kicker Durrell Chamorro filed a class-action suit last week in Indianapolis federal court seeking damages for Division I football players who were impacted by the since-abandoned rule banning multiyear scholarships. In 2012, the NCAA passed a rule allowing schools to offer multiyear scholarships to all athletes for the first time since 1973.

I actually believe if parts of this lawsuit makes it, it'll keep FCS from dieing and maybe actually give the playoffs a huge boost.

Interestingly, the companion lawsuit filed several years ago was FCS related - Gardner-Webb in fact. I don't know what kind of market Gardner-Webb controls, but that lawsuit was going nowhere fast.

Whether or not FCS is dying depends on your perspective.

I really don't care about the FCS - it's just a label and actually fairly meaningless. Essentially is means you have a D-I basketball team and don't play FBS - NDSU really has nothing in common with Davidson. As long as my team plays football against the Citpups, The Evil Purple Baptists, and even the dress-wearing ho's from PC, I don't care what label we wear, the games will still be entertaining, and the martini's at the tailgate just as cold.

I would miss the playoffs, though.

What evidence do you have of your dire prognostication? Elvis and tupac should never be mentioned in the same sentence. One was a extremely talented individual the other a street thug and a rapist.

You think 125 schools, some flagships like in ND, SD, Delaware, Montana etc are going get cut out? The only ones cut out should be the no scholarship pretenders and the SWAC should be demoted to DII.

Actually Elvis was the victim of an unscrupulous doctor of medicine. Just like Michael Jackson. Only without the child rape.

Actually it's a known fact that Elvis slept with many under age girls, while having smack induce orgies.

Unlike the ungrateful money whores that had their miraculous memory recovery after Michael was dead.

I'm sure you're well acquainted with the type.
