it's interesting that there is chatter if Alcorn can take down USM. i can only see maybe hanging in there for 2 quarters. depth and penalties could easier minimize there chances. and with playing VUL, i hope they are not getting overjoyed over a win over a tiny program and impact their readiness for USM

Alcorn shouldn't of beat Southern Miss; 26-20 USM.
i've read that USM even took a TD in the 1st quarter for a very questionable call of sideline interference. additionally, USM was given a TD even though the player was clearly out-of-bounds. Another funny part is that a lot of folks on USM sports forum had Alcorn to beat them. but if Alcorn did won it....... whoa, someone will be calling for security and police, and not because of Alcorn's celebrating.

anyways, i do not think USM will be calling another FCS anytime soon. they are practically the #4 team in the state after Jackson State.
