No defense for the foul and the penalty was assessed. I assume you are trying to argue that there was a deliberate attempt to harm the ball carrier. I seriously doubt that is the case so get over it. Kat fans seem to be making this an issue here an on katfans.com.

If the officials felt there was malice involved I am sure they would have ejected him (afterall, the SLC officials are so good you know xidiotx )

I am not in disagreement that the penalty was a bad one but :nono: don't try and make it sound like the Cowboys go head hunting for facemasks. Here is your "Other" facemask infraction called by the official who was behind the players (notice the left hand gripping the jersey, NOT the facemask)

now that one was damn rediculous. he didnt even attempt to grab the runner with his off hand. malice was intended for that one and he should have got the boot

Two of the face masks were legit calls and were penalized. And I'm sure Matt Viator probably has addressed that already at practice this week.

The third call, the one that happened right in front of me and I took the picture of, was a little bogus. The player reached around and grabbed the jersey and a ref behind the players who couldn't actually see what he had a hold of threw the flag.

The other two facemasks were bad and is not something that we have seen all season. And knowing Matt Viator will be addressed.

I did look at the second video and agree they were both bad fouls and penalties were (and should have been) assessed. If there were ejections due, well then blame the SLC officials, sorry.

As Doc mentioned above, I am sure the coaching staff it addressing that issue this week in practice. Not matter what the Kat fans imply here, that is NOT the McNeese way.

And by the way Patssle, Kat fans have no room to talk about anyone being Classy with the events that have happened in your series with SFA.

Now, you better concentrate on the Jacks and forget about the sour grapes here or you will be even more disgruntled come Sunday :nod:
