BROOKINGS, S.D. – Daktronics, of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with Southern University and A&M College and the SU System Foundation to install a new LED video display at A.W. Mumford Stadium, just in time for the Jaguar football season.
“We’re thrilled about this partnership opportunity with Daktronics and the SU System Foundation, and about continuing to enhance the fan experience for Jaguar football,” said Southern University Director of Athletics William Broussard.
SU System Foundation Executive Director Alfred E. Harrell, III, echoed Broussard’s comments.
“We greatly value our partnership with the Baton Rouge Coca-Cola bottling company, our title sponsor for the new scoreboard project and the opportunity to provide the athletic department with a state‑of-the-art scoreboard that will allow our fans and athletic program to benefit from the latest technology in the industry,” Harrell said.
The display features a high definition screen layout to provide excellent image clarity and contrast to live video and replays. The display area is 18 feet high by 48 feet wide. In addition to showing full video, it can also be sectioned into different windows to highlight graphics, animations, sponsor messages, statistics and other game information.
