Blue Hens can't manage anything on offense and forced to punt. Special teams gets a false start and then can't make a tackle after a great punt by Enderson. Three straight runs for 10+ yards each by the Pitt Panthers, so far it looks like "elaware" again... no D at all. On the fourth play, they punch it in on yet another power running play.

Defense steps up on first down, but Bennett gets a big run on 2nd down and the Panthers overpower the Hens d-line on third and short. First and goal for the Panthers and they stretch it out for a touchdown.

Blue Hens go three and out managing only 2 yards and are forced to punt. Enderson with a great punt and Weatherspoon fumbles, UD recovers at the Pitt 28 yard line. But on 2nd and 5 from the 23, Hurley throws an interception to a Pitt LB with no receiver close, Randolph had been hit from behind and forced way out of bounds. Pitt brings in the backup QB to start the 2nd quarter, first play is a QB sneak up the middle for 9 yards. Hens force a fumble two plays later, but Pitt recovers. More broken tackles than you can count in this game, looks like last years "elaware" with no D is back. James Conner for Pitt rushes for about 60 yards, only a horse collar tackle saves the TD. Pitt moves the ball 95 yards without throwing a single pass for the touchdown.

Panthers 28 - Blue Hens 0

Touchback gives the Hens the ball on the 25. Handoff for 3 yards is followed by a Trent Hurley sack, 3rd and 15. Delay of game, it's 3rd and 20 when Trent Hurley dumps off a swing pass for a loss of 2. Enderson forced to punt on 4th and 22 from the 13 yard line. Boyd returns the ball to about the Delaware 30 yard line, but comes off holding his hand which is apparently injured. Hens are penalized for an illegal formation on the punt and Pitt gets an extra 5 yards tacked on. He's heading to the locker room. Swing pass for 7 yards followed by a run by James Conner, untouched up the middle 19 yards for the touchdown.

Very next play is Chris James up the middle, touchdown Pittsburgh.

Weatherspoon nabs the kick at the 21 yard line and returns it up to the 35. Couple of short plays move Pitt down the field for a first downs. Holding call on Pitt negates a bubble screen for a first down. Defense holds Bennett to a short gain, brings 2nd and 11. Next play is a throw knocked out of bounds by Simba Gwashavanhu, who then forces a fumble on the next play and the Hens finally force a punt!

But on the first play on offense, Hurley throws another interception and the Panthers return it to the UD 5 yard line. No problems punching it in on the very first play...

Iowa has one of the best ol and dl in all the nation


Lets put it this way.... I feel better about this UNI team than i have about any other uni team I've seen. Looked damn good. If the penalties get cleaned up uni will be damn tough to beat.

Farley was back and looked great.

Thie MVFC looked pretty damn good today.... No losses by more than 18 and that includes ISUb. USD is yet to play and will likely be crushed, but any fcs tab would be by them.
