The whole Big Sky conference/"non-conference" game deal is absurd....

Ever look at a FCS map. It is easy for someone from the east to say it is absurd. Some our closest games in the west would be some east coast schools furthest game.

Geography aside, it completely skews the validity of a conference championship. That is a big deal when you're dealing with auto bids....

The Big Sky will put 3 to 4 teams in the 24 team playoffs most seasons so no big deal. Is it ideal? No, but it is our reality.

And though the Montana game is OOC, our others are Northern Iowa and Arizona State. I don't know what kind of team we will have next year, but strength of schedule is beyond difficult.
