I like this thread better. It has both LFN and Citdog in it.

Anyway, completely aside from the main point,

A recovered handgun allegedly used by Akins was a Davis Industries .38-caliber semi-automatic pistol
Akins should be glad he didn't (allegedly) pull the trigger. The (alleged) charges he's facing would be worse and he'd be missing most of his (alleged) hand.
