With about 1 month left in the season who is your pick to play for the BCS title in Glendale?

My pick:

Michigan vs West Virginia

I think the Michigan defense is too much for Ohio St. & West Virginia beats Louisville on Thursday then gets help in the conference championship games to move up to #2.

I dont see WV gettin the bid. If Auburn wins out I could even see them getting the bid over WV. BTW dont forget WVU plays Louisville this Thursday and Brohm will be playing. Not to mention they still have to play Rutgers.

If WVU wins out and doesn't get in it would be an all time job. WVU would destroy Auburn. If any one loss team deserves to get in, it would be the Michigan-Ohio State loser.

I still think there is going to be a split champ if Michigan or Ohio State fails to win the BCS title game.

WVU would destroy Auburn based on what? Auburn still has a solid defense against the run which is WVU's key offensive plan. Not to mention this is the first legitimate contender WVU has played this year.

The fact that Auburn is struggling against bad teams. WVU is just blowing everyone out.

We'll have to see if WVU gets by Louisville, Rutgers won't be a pushover either...I heard someone on TV saying that there would be a chance that if things break right OSU/Michigan could rematch in the title game, that's be strange...but I suppose it could happen...

Basically...Auburn plays Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, South Carolina...WVU plays Louisville and Rutgers, neither of which they've played yet.

Ummm.... Has anybody actually noticed the BCS scoring for the teams? Michigan and Ohio St. are so far ahead of #3 West Virginia, that it's conceivable both teams enter their matchup at 11-0, and if it's a close game, UM-OSU could be the BCS Championship matchup!!!!

Yes - I noted that, and brought that point up a couple of weeks ago.....

Would serve the BCS right if that happens!!

Ohio State wins by 20 over anyone in I-A football, including Michigan. Crown em' now.:D :rotateh:

Osu just looks dominating no matter who they play, and everybody else struggles with mediocre teams. Michigan struggled to put away Northwestern and Minnesota, Auburn is can't decide if there good enough to pound Buffalo, WVU gets more penalities than Willie Plett, Rutgers offence is done unless they rush for 200 yards, Louisville has struggled with the likes of Cincy. Sorry but this Ohio state team is head and shoulders above everyone else.

Willing to give me 20 points in a wager? Michigan never blows anyone out, well except Notre Dame :D I am not worried at all about the vanilla offense Michigan is running, they will show up for the Ohio St. game.

40 mph winds and rain versus Northwestern who had -14 yds rushing, what did you expect Michigan to score 40+ points?

OSU beat Minnesota handily, but Minny barely beat I-AA NDSU the week before and have injuries to key players

OSU is 20 points better than Michigan?xlolx xlolx xlolx we'll see in a few weeks. Manningham will be back this week

The strength of the SEC would really show if we had playoffs in 1-A. SEC teams rarely make it to the BCS championship because they almost always loose one or two of their SEC rivalry games. :twocents:

If Michigan wins the game at the last second or in overtime by some miraculous/disputed way, it's guaranteed because Ohio State wouldn't drop enough in the human polls for anybody to overtake 'em. I don't think this will happen, but I'd love to see.

Keep in mind this about Michiagn, the games haven't been as pretty since Manningham went out who was simply dominant before his injury. Word is he'll be back this week or next week against Indiana, UM is entirely different offensively with him in there.

Could you imagine California going to the championship after getting spanked hard by Tennessee in their 1st game of the season, that would be remarkable to say the least.

No, after thinking about that a little more, I'm going to predict:

Michigan vs. West Virginia

These teams will be the only two undefeated programs within the BCS Conferences at the end of the season.

If this pans out they should just move the game to Pasadena so we can a good old-fashioned PAC 10-Big 10 Rose Bowl.

Auburn almost lost to Ole Miss who got absolutely waxed at home against Wake and Missouri. Not to mention a should be loss against South Carolina. The SEC has 5 or 6 good teams, but there is not one team that is great and no one that is a true NC contender.

Its true though. His 2004(?) team that went undefeated is a prime example, I don't know they could have beaten USC, but they were sure as hell better than OU.

Exactly... I know California is a long-shot, but it is what I'd like to see.. that's why I picked Florida first... I don't like the new cross-bowl format... it makes me wretch seeing teams like Oklahoma and Texas play in the Rose Bowl.. blech...

Has Michigan ever played Cal in the Rose Bowl?
