You know, we have enough problems with credibility in this poll. And then some jackass goes and gives Indiana State a 25th-place vote. It's not cute. It's stupid. Do better.

Yeah that is ridiculous that Indiana State got a vote. The MVFC got 9 of 10 teams that received votes I am not sure that should happen either.

NDSU, UNI, SIU, SDSU and then maybe ISUr/MSU should get votes.
Definitely not 9 of 10...

It wouldn't be the preseason TSN poll if there weren't some laughs in the ORV section.

Additional Comparison of the AGS preseason poll to the Sports Network and Coaches polls. AGS ranked both Cal Poly and SIU, but neither the coaches or SN ranked them. Both polls swapped NAU and Bethune Cookman.
The biggest overall disparity exists with UNI. My guess is that a lot of voters look at last years results for teams they are not familiar with, and I would guess if we could see the individual votes for UNI, they would be all over the place. AGS sees a lot of the info about UNI, so there is higher level of overall respect (though if I remember correctly, the number of MVFC voters are still top heavy in the AGS poll). At least SN has them as a top ten team, which I would expect, especially if they are injury free. Towson is viewed very differently by AGS and SN as compared to the coaches.

OK so we stunk it up in the playoffs, but still, we WERE IN the playoffs. Not intending to bad-mouth the Terriers at all, just a question. Considering we beat Wofford last year, they also lost some players, and we play them at home this year, why would they be 2 spots ahead of Samford? A better reputation is all I can come up with. I can see Furman and UTC being well up from us - they both have so much returning. Although I admit to being a homer, I think that our Dogs are very close in talent to both Mocs and Purple. It seems they are TOO far up from us. Yeah, I know this is all conjecture and will be proven on the field......STILL.

Lehigh 25 votes... pollsters are learning.
Lafayette got 13 votes... I guess that's, ok..
Princeton got 81... massive disrespect for the Tigers... they are Top 25 already.

Do the Ivy's even get to participate in the playoffs? I mean, I get that all teams deserve a ranking if they're good enough, but what's the point of being ranked if you don't even get to participate in the playoffs?

SELA (#3) & UNH (#4) the only totally consistent teams across the board. Don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Forget Princeton . . . Harvard ought to be Top 25, maybe even Top 20.

Because they're better than the teams below?
