Greatest 5 minutes of high school football ever!
In 2004, Concord High School was playing Asheville in the North Carolina H.S. 3-AAA playoffs. The game was being played in Concord, NC (approx. 25 north of Charlotte). With a little over 5 minutes remaining in the the 4th quarter, and Concord down, 20-0. Concord is in their home "black", Asheville in white jerseys. This film clip is from Charlotte TV station WSOC-TV. The last 5 minutes of the game.

Went to an 8-man HS football game back in Washington in the mid 80's. The first FIVE kickoffs to start the game were run back for touchdowns. No ****. The score was 20-16 with about a minute gone in the game. Score ended up 60-something to 40-something, but it was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen.

I had no clue the announcers from Varsity Blues had full time jobs, I thought they were just actors.

Pretty amazing video. Two thing I noticed:
1. All three scores started deep in the offense's territory. On the second drive, they drove down 80 yards for the score.
2. That QB has a cannon. Two different plays saw in with very long passes.
Nice comeback win, great game, and even better football weather.:D

Thats insane!
On a similar note does anyone have a link to that footage of some HS running back that almost every time he touched the ball he broke it for a touchdown? that was pretty insane too.

The best HS game I ever saw in person took place in McNeese's stadium back in 1994: Hahnville High VS LaGrange High in the 4A LHSAA semi-finals. Hahnville wins in OT after the LHS kicker misses an extra point wide-left. HHS scored multiple times late in the 4th quarter just to send the game into OT. Amazing game.
